It’s A Numbers Game

If you know what features are a must-have in your perfect barbecue, find the right Broil King grill for you can be as quick and painless as a quick glance through our product numbers! We’ve broken it down for you here:

  • See an “S” in the product code? That means it’s a stainless steel barbecue (no “S”? Then we’ve powder-coated it black for aesthetic reasons).
  • The first numerical digit in the product code is how many primary burners the barbecue has.
  • The second and third digits tell you some of the extras you can find on that barbecue:

Does Size Matter?

Comparing features when choosing your barbecue is, no question, important. But we also know that (sometimes!) size matters, so if that’s a deciding factor for you when picking out your perfect barbecue, we’ve broken it down for you here with a simple 3-step process that can help you find the perfect barbecue:

Step 1: Decide if you want a gas, charcoal, or pellet barbecue:

Gas: If you love cooking and dining al fresco, but want the some ease, maneuverability, and results as if you were cooking indoors, a gas barbecue might be for you.

Charcoal: If you believe that cooking outdoors isn’t just a convenience, it’s a hobby and you love to be in front of the grill producing classic, smokey barbecue smells and flavours for your friends and family, then a charcoal barbecue is your go to.

Pellet: Grillmasters who appreciate the art of low and slow cooking on the barbecue to produce intense, rich, complex barbecue flavours (even if that means setting your grilling tools down and walking away so your grill can do its thing for hours at a time) are usually pellet barbecue owners.

Step 2: Decide how often you want to be able to move your barbecue around:

Never. If you have a large, dedicated outdoor kitchen space that you know and love and you live year-round in your home here in Spain or Portugal, you may want to consider a built-in barbecue.

Sometimes. If you have a BBQ at your holiday home here in Spain or Portugal and need to be able to move your barbecue to storage while you’re away; or have a large but somewhat limited barbecuing space that you share with other outdoor furniture when not barbecuing, your best grill option is likely a standard gas, charcoal, or pellet barbecue in a size that suits your grilling lifestyle (don’t worry, we break that down in the next step).

Always. Love going on camping trips? Enjoy barbecues at the beach? Have only a small garden or terrace? Check out our Porta-Chef range for lightweight, portable grills that you can quickly and easily set up anywhere and pack away to give you the room you need for living in your house or apartment!

Step 3: Decide how big of a barbecue you need:

Extra Large (more than 6000cm2 of total cooking space): If you have the physical space for it, big families, grillmasters who love to entertain, or those who grill up a variety of foods at once (like those who cater to meat-eaters AND vegetarians at the same time) will love our extra large grills.

Large (more than 5000cm2 of total cooking space): Our large grills are a great option for a typical family that enjoy the outdoor living Spain and Portugal is famous for. Just about anyone will find what they need in one of our large grills -and get incredible barbecue results in the process!

Medium (3000 to 4000cm2 of total cooking space): If you’re limited on space, have a small family, or love to grill but are limited on the time you can do it, there are a number of great Broil King barbecues with a full range of features that will meet your needs and tantalize your taste buds!

Small (less than 3000 cm2 of total cooking space): Casual grillers who still want delicious barbecue meals, holidaymakers who frequently spend shorter periods of time in Spain or Portugal, or lone wolves who don’t have a lot of mouths to feed at home can get plenty of grill space on one of our smaller barbecues. And even our smaller barbecues come with the same renowned features as our bigger models, so even if it’s small on size, you still get the amazing results you expect from the best barbecue brand in Spain and Portugal!

With all this information in mind, finding the perfect barbecue for you should be a breeze! But if it’s not and you need more details, have more questions, or want to talk to a barbecue expert to find your dream grill, all you need to do is find your nearest Broil King barbecue dealer and get in touch!
