Of course you love your Broil King gas barbecue, it’s arguably one of the best BBQs in Spain and Portugal and delivers the best barbecue flavours and tastiest barbecue results no matter what you’re cooking! But now as we enter Autumn, you’ve realised that your trusty gas barbecue has had a busy Summer and could benefit from some TLC and a good old-fashioned deep clean…but how?

Broil King’s patented Flav-R-WaveTM cooking system and Dual-TubeTM burners provide searing heat for that iconic (and delicious!) barbecue flavour that you know and love, but to keep them in prime condition every time you fire up your grill, you’ll need to keep your Broil King gas barbecue clean and grease-free. A clean barbecue means hotter temperatures for great sear and faster cooking times, not to mention a safer and more sanitary cooking experience too.

But never fear, getting your Broil King gas barbecue in tip-top shape is easier than you may think, especially with Broil King’s top-rated cleaning accessories at the ready. In fact, the entire gas barbecue cleaning process is quick and painless, requiring only a few simple supplies and no more than about 30 minutes of your time.

Step 1: Turn your grill on high heat and leave it for about 10 minutes or until it stops smoking. This will burn off extra residue and reduce the elbow grease needed to get your Broil King gas barbecue cleaner than clean (or, if you’re desperate for an extra upper body workout this month, go ahead and skip this step). Don’t forget to turn off your grill and let it cool down completely before moving on the step 2.

Step 2: Use a grill brush to clean and scrape both sides of your barbecue cooking grids (make it extra easy by using a Broil King grid lifter), Flav-R-Waves, dividers (use a grilling mitt for safety!), and warming rack. Remove all of these pieces as you go.

Step 3: Spray your grill and warming rack with Broil King’s Grill & Casting Cleaner to break up tough grease and smoke stains and remove any remaining burned-on food. If it’s been a while since you last cleaned your grill, you’ll want to let this soak in for up to 30 minutes, before rinsing off. After this, it is important you dry the grill and rack straight away. As an alternative, you can put them back on the bbq and burn it off.

Step 4: Check the burners for clogged parts, gently clean if necessary, then remove it. Then brush and scrape the cookbox and heat deflectors and use a utility vacuum to remove any debris.

Step 5: Reinstall all of the parts you removed and get ready for another great barbecue!

If you’re feeling extra fancy or just have some spare time on your hands, keep your Broil King gas barbecue looking like new using Broil King’s own stainless steel cleaner and polish that leaves a lovely, grease-free shine. Or, for tough stains on your stainless steel or porcelain exterior surfaces, the Broil King grill revitalizer cream goes on without water so all you have to do is give it a good scrub then buff away to make your grill as beautiful as the day you brought it home.
